About

One University. One Public Health.

The nature of our ever-changing global community — including both people and animals within the environment — requires a comprehensive systems approach to public health to prevent disease, promote health, and improve the quality of life of the planet’s population as a whole.

Cornell University is the country’s largest private Ivy League and federal land grant university and is comprised of 14 colleges and schools, in six locations throughout the world, with 1,648 faculty, 8,109 staff, 14,315 undergraduate, 5,265 graduate, and 2,324 professional students. A huge part of the research, work, and education that takes place across the university’s diverse body is in the realm of public health – including the health of humans, animals, the environment, and our planet as a whole.
